Combining the models of an art school and an artist residency, Campus offered a tuition-free, peer-to-peer learning programme that encouraged self-organisation and critical engagement. Through one-to-one tutorials and group activities, four tutors shared their expertise with the participants, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.

'Campus' was organised into three modules: Module 1 (27 June–1 July): Closed-door presentations by the 15 participants, along with two open conferences (28 and 30 June) featuring four case studies of independent international art programmes; Module 2 (4–29 July): four one-week workshops led by artists-tutors Libia Castro & Ólafur Ólafsson, Renata Lucas, Peter Piller and Adrià Julià; and Module 3 (29 July–28 August): A self-organised display of each participant’s ongoing research.

Module 2, 4–29 July
Work session 1: 4–8 July with Libia Castro & Ólafur Ólafsson
Through video, photography and sound, participants experimented with the genre of portraiture and documentary, in dialogue with (post)conceptual, interventionists, relational and 'new realistic' artistic practices.

Work session 2: 11–15 July with Renata Lucas
(13 July, Visiting guest: Luis Bisbe, artist, Barcelona)
This week the group discussed a series of potential interventions, alterations or displacements around the Espai Cultural Caja Madrid and its immediate surroundings in the city center.

Work session 3: 18–22 July with Peter Piller
(20 July, Visiting guest: Francesc Ruiz, artist, Barcelona)
The week focused on the analysis of the artist's books and catalogues. Each student, in dialogue with Piller, developed a mock up artist's book taking into account the format that best suited their artistic practice.

Work session 4: 25–29 July with Adrià Julià
(27 July, visit to Toastmasters, Barcelona)
This last week focused on the performativity of artistic practice and the different mechanisms of presentation and representation of the participants own work and that of others. Participants worked around narrative strategies that considered the immediacy, presence, delegation and the absence of both the individual and the collective.
